PURPOSE OF THE PILGRIMAGE
PURPOSE OF THE PILGRIMAGE
Encouraged by the example of this great saint, who at the end of his life sent thirty-three penitents on pilgrimage to the sanctuary of Saumur with the intention:
a) to obtain good missionaries from God
b) to obtain the gift of wisdom in order to know, savor, and practice virtue; and to help others to do so
We want to carry out this pilgrimage as a Religious Family supported by the words of Saint Louis Marie when he said to God: “Remember your Congregation!”.
It is also a great occasion to renew our consecration of Marian slavery, asking Mary for the “indispensable help to prolong the Incarnation in all things”; not being “evasive to the missionary adventure”; and living in total abandonment to the will of God following her example: “Behold the handmaid of the Lord, let it be done to me according to your word”. (Lk 1:38)

The pilgrimage will take place in France, in the city of Saint Laurent-sur-Sèvre, where Saint Louis Marie died and where his remains rest, and from there we will pilgrimage to the Calvary of Pontchâteau.

Mass in the Basilica, where the remains of Saint Louis Grignion de Montfort are located.

Lunch at the school of the "Bothers of Saint Gabriel"

Prayer of Vespers in the Chapel of the "Daughters of Wisdom".
